For some reason, when I was drawing the steam chest and saddle, I left off some tiny details. So, I had an opportunity to make them. What fun!
The valve rods are .020″ music wire, and pass through into 2×1 mm brass tubes that represent the valve rocker arms to the lever. The other end of the lever would be connected to the valve gear, but it breaks to enable removal of the cylinders. I modelled the valve glands with tiny slips of styrene. Photos show something that looks like an oil cup on the fronts of the valve covers. But there is also plainly an oil line passing into that hole in the middle of the Xs on top of the valve covers. Well the oil cups are barely visible, measuring 1.2×0.8 mm.
